After the program downloads some jars, you will see a screen giving you 3 options.
If you want to look at a pdb, select the option for converting a pdb to a otrunk files.
You will now see a window asking you for 2 things:
- a pdb file
- a folder to store the result
This will extract the pdb file into multiple student otml files into the folder you chose.
Quit the Report Tool application.
Run it again.
When it starts up choose the
"Select Portfolio Folder" button.
Choose the folder where you just extracted the student otml files.
After it loads the files, you will see a screen that lists the files open across the top as tabs.
If you don't know which investigations the students work on select:
File/Find Modified Pages...
This will take a while to run (~1min). When it is done, you will have a folder on the left called "Modified Pages". If you expand that folder you can see which pages students worked on. Do not click on those pages. You might want to record the names of those pages so you don't have to search for them again if you need to restart the application.
To see the student work click on the Reports/Sensor Portfolio/Instructional Units item on the left.
Now on the right select the unit you want, and navigate to the page you want to see. Showing a page with data collectors might take a while (~30 seconds).
If it is just getting too slow, then you can open each otml file separately. To do this login into the teemss2 portal as t2dh again, and click on the "Run SensorPortfolio" button. Now a dialog should appear one option is to open an existing portfolio. Select that, and choose one of the otml files that were extracted from the pdb file.
